Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles might just have unknowingly forwarded the narrative of a league-wide push against Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. While Clark’s gravity and the fouls called against her this season have done little to change the narrative, the Minnesota rookie’s move was online. Olivia Miles’ recent social media action, as it appears now, seems to have further given those who hold this notion more reason to stand by it.

The post in question had the words, “Olivia Miles is what everyone thinks Caitlin Clark is,” written on it. BrickCenter then captioned the post, “Olivia Miles liked a post dissing Caitlin Clark. ‘They HATE her 😭.'”

The post has sparked different reactions from fans, the majority of whom are not pleased with what Miles appears to have done. Some fans simply agreed with the narrative of Caitlin Clark being hated and suggested that Miles’ action only added to that perception.

“Omg really jealous and haters,” one fan said. For some fans, they considered it improper for Miles to engage with such a post. “So unprofessional @oliviamiles06,” they said.

For some fans, however, it was indeed quite disappointing to see Miles actually like the post. “Im just starting to like her after CC and this is what i see..Not good olivia,..i never saw CC saying or liking any negative post about her colleagues. CC is truly the epitome of ambassador of women’s basketball. Face of the League,” one fan said.

Some fans, however, took another route, comparing the two players and reiterating that Clark was the better one. They pointed to her ability to elevate a struggling team like the Fever, arguing that Miles had yet to accomplish something similar. “Let me know when she turns the worst team in the league into title contenders. Until then, don’t mention her name with Clark.” Another fan simply dismissed the comparison, saying, “I was never sold on her. She is good but not great.”

Olivia Miles has indeed been sensational this season, being the key player behind the Minnesota Lynx’s brilliant run at the top of the league so far. Currently in the top 10 in the league in both scoring and playmaking, she is averaging 19.8 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game. She has also been on a record-breaking spree since the league kicked off. Miles broke Clark’s previous record for the fastest to 650 points and 200 assists. She also surpassed Clark for the most three-pointers in a single game by a rookie.

Miles does appear to have earned the comparison to Clark, specifically when it comes to her rookie achievements. While Miles’ intentions behind liking the post are not clear, in the one game that the Fever faced the Lynx this season, Miles and Co. emerged victorious with a score of 108-100. The Fever are set to face the Lynx again for their last two games of the season, and the Miles-Clark rivalry should bear fruit on the court in a scintillating exchange.
