As a gun player, Candace Parker is known for shooting some staggering shots and rewriting records. But lately she was grounded by her left foot injury. Her physical affliction however has not kept the “Ace” away from the court as she plans on returning to the hardwood soon. But beyond the court, she’s being one heck of an NBA analyst for the NBA TV and TNT.

And so often it happens that this superstar gets to meet her own favorites of the sport. Recently at the Pelicans vs Lakers, Candace Parker had an amazing time.

At the NBA in-season championship semi-final, Candace Parker got to meet one of her idols– Julius Erving. From taking photos with him to commenting on his “smooth look” with Doc Rivers, Candace seemed to be having a field day at the event. She even took it to her Instagram and shared a photo of hers with the legend himself– Dr. J. She captioned the story saying, “One of my favorite players ever.” There is no doubt that Erving is one of the figures she looks up to as the icon has carved the path to the NBA.

However, the power forward of the Aces is not the only one who got to stew in her fandom moment. Turns out, Reggie Miller’s kids are all about their aunt Candace. She re-shared Reggie’s story that said, “All my baby girl was saying was, ‘I get to hang with Auntie Candace, right?!?!’ Thanks Doc and Steve Smith for making my kids’ evening” on her Instagram. She also added, “Pleasure meeting your minis! They are amazing beautiful kiddos!”

It is no news that Candace suffered from a horrible left foot fracture during the 2023 season. The last game she played was against the Dallas Wings who won by a thin margin of 2 points. While the team raised the trophy together, Candace definitely missed all the actions. Nonetheless, she has confirmed that she is doing well after her surgery. She even might return to the basketball court very soon.

While Candace gets back to health to enchant all the fans in the next season, everyone is happy to see that she is still active in the basketball world. Moreover, the 37-year-old power forward is nowhere close to thinking of retirement which only adds to the cherry on top.
