Waller was traded barely 12 hours after they returned from their honeymoon. Kelsey Plum recently opened up about her husband’s trade to the Giants and called it “brutal”.

Kelsey Plum appeared on The Pat McAfee Show. The anchor posed an intriguing question about her husband’s move to the New York Giants shortly after their honeymoon. “I got that call like 12 hours after we landed back. So, it’s not how anybody would really want to start being married,” Plum stated.
Waller was transferred to the New York Giants for a point differential of $12 million as his basic pay.
?It is wild,? Plum said of learning about the trade. ?It?s brutal. It?s like ripping your heart out.? She also added that at the end of the day, they’re athletes and such things are common for them.
It was their faith that carried them throughout the period. ?God really just?it’s the only way we kind of got through it with our faith,? she continued. ?He?s a soldier. Darren is a soldier.”?

It’s a mystery how they began dating, but they were said to be in a relationship in early 2022.

The point guard has been in Sin City since her team relocated from San Antonio to Vegas in 2018. Her arrival corresponded with Waller’s relocation to Oakland.
