The 27-year-old power forward inspired a famous comeback for her team in Game 4 of the WNBA finals. Fans and experts are short of words trying to describe her breathtaking performance. The Aces’ boss, Becky Hammon can’t get enough of A’ja Wilson and heaped all praises for the Aces’ star performer. In a recent interview with ESPN, she was asked what she gets from A’ja night in and night out.

She replied,” I get a selfless Superstar and a superhuman being. She has so much humility and grace sometimes I want to shake her. I’m Like do you even understand how good you are?

A’ja delivered an incredible performance on Wednesday night. She was the top scorer for the Aces with 24 points. In addition to this, she had 16 rebounds. Moreover, the MVP of the Finals produced her sixth double-double of the postseason.

Continuing to praise A’ja, Becky further added,” She’s really just scratching the surface. Every year she comes back better. A’ja is now a two-time WNBA champion with the Aces. Furthermore, she won the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023. The five-time WNBA All-Star also won the ESPY Award for the best WNBA player this season.

Becky Hammon has been very vocal about her disappointment with A’ja Wilson’s WNBA MVP snub. She is still holding on to the disrespect of A’ja in the WNBA MVP voting.

Becky explains why A’ja Wilson should be the MVP of WNBA 2023

The Hall of Famer coach shared her thoughts on this topic with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt. She said,” I got a raw deal in the MVP voting. I felt like if people had done more research, and some more analytics, instead of just looking at stuff.” Wilson was placed third behind Liberty’s Breanna Stewart and Connecticut’s Alyssa Thomas in the voting.

Becky further continued,” Don’t get me wrong at all. I love Stewie’s[Breanna Stewart] and AT’s[Alyssa Thomas] game. I just felt like efficiency-wise there was no comparison with her on both ends of the floor.” 

A’ja Wilson has been at her best this season for the Aces. Apart from this, her breathtaking talent and extraordinary execution of her skills have made headlines throughout the season.
