Having Caitlin Clark as your teammate can do wonders for you. She not only elevates her teammates on the court but her mere presence works magic off the floor as well. We’ve already witnessed how much impact there was when teammates retaliated on CC’s behalf. However, she’s not the only one benefiting in their off-court endeavors. Lexie Hull has also seen a remarkable boost in endorsement deals since CC joined her as a rookie.

Ever since Caitlin Clark joined the Indiana Fever, Lexie Hull has signed major endorsement deals with brands like Sweetgreen, Lightbox Jewelry, FORM, Sequel, Athleta, and many more. She already had an exclusive deal with Nike since her WNBA draft, but after forming a backcourt tandem with Clark, endorsement offers have been flowing in. While this is great for the wallet, sometimes these deals can divert attention from what’s most important: the game. Raising a similar concern, Lexie Hull’s mother, Jamie Hull, offers a subtle warning.
Appearing on a podcast with Rosalina, Jamie spoke about how being Caitlin Clark’s teammate has affected Lexie and how it might impact her play. She said, “She’s not out going to dinner with security or anything like Caitlin has to. But it is different.” When Rosalina asked about the brand endorsements, Jamie replied, “Yeah, yeah. I mean in in the first couple years, I mean that was hit or miss there. There wasn’t much to it and then now, she’s having a lot more activity that way. I mean, she’s doing very well, but there’s times that I almost wonder if she’s spreading her too thin. I’m like you need to focus on basketball.”

Being Caitlin Clark’s teammate certainly comes with endorsement perks and financial opportunities, but it also brings intense attention. Every mistake gets magnified and dissected by fans. With Jamie’s statements, the message to Lexie is clear: keep your priorities straight. Attention and deals may come and go, but the legacy you carve on the court can last forever.

Indiana Fever Slip Back to Eighth as Another Caitlin Clark Record Gets Broken
In a crucial matchup against the Golden State Valkyries, Indiana Fever fans hoped to finally break their losing streak against the expansion team. Still missing Caitlin Clark, the team announced just before tip-off that forward Chloe Bibby would also miss the game, presenting another hurdle. Playing at ‘Ballhalla’ — the Valkyries’ home — made the challenge even tougher.
While Indiana fans usually take over opponent arenas, doing that at Golden State is no easy feat. The Valkyries sell out all home games, showcasing passionate support. In the all-important game, the Fever never looked comfortable and endured a 75-63 loss. This defeat not only sealed the Fever’s season series loss to Golden State but pushed them back to the eighth spot in the standings.
Though a two-game gap separates them from ninth-place Los Angeles Sparks, the Fever must do everything possible to avoid finishing eighth. That position would mean facing the mighty Minnesota Lynx in the playoffs. Despite winning the Commissioner’s Cup final against Minnesota, the Fever have since lost both regular-season games against the Lynx, with one more still to play.

Individually, Caitlin Clark saw one of her rookie records broken. While Paige Bueckers was famously her rival for record-breaking, this time, Sonia Citron took the spotlight. With her 12-point game against the Sparks, Citron passed Clark’s record for most double-digit scoring games as a rookie, registering her 36th such game for the Washington Mystics.
Being remembered in the history books is great, but undoubtedly, Caitlin Clark and Fever fans would prefer to see her back on the court as soon as possible.
