“I’m the Barbie”. That’s the response of the ferocious rookie Angel Reese on why fans shower so much love towards her. And this has been the case for the former LSU standout ever since she stepped foot inside the Windy City. However, by the looks of some recent and interesting social media exploits, it appears that her crazy fandom has transcended Chicago’s borders. So much so, that it puts her lookalikes in a spot of bother.

The Dirty Birds Atlanta Falcons is an iconic franchise competing in the NFL. Obviously, the Atlantans know all that. Even if Angel Reese is in front of you, no one will forget this fact. This is exactly what transpired recently when TikTok star Ekane, who by the way immensely resembles Chicago’s No.5 visited the city’s airport. Here she got mistaken for Angel Reese. Describing her experience, she tweeted, “Brown skin queen, at least 6 white people stopped me at this airport and said I look like angel Reese”.

Anyhow, the kicker of this story took place when she went on and admitted it. Not only did she change the name and city of Reese’s professional franchise but also the sport. And, it was at that time that they came to realize that the woman standing in front of them was not Reese. “I lied to the last 3 and said I got a game against the Atlanta falcons today that’s why I’m here. They looked at me crazy. Tf is the problem bitches,” she expressed in the latter part of her post.

As a result, this hilarious turn of events caught the attention of the Ch-town Barbie. In somewhat of a lively manner, she responded to her by writing, “atlanta falcons is crazy sis.” While there is no denying that she has earned her huge fan base with her specific skill set in the 5×5 circuit, there is every possibility that her recent engagements might increase the numbers.

Angel Reese “Unrivaled”

Apart from the WNBA, another eminent league will be graced by the court presence of Angel Reese. This is what the official X page of Unrivaled Basketball revealed to the basketball world recently. Captioning it “THE BARBIE IS UNRIVALED (crown emoji) 10/30 (check mark emoji) TAG WHO’S NEXT (eyes emoji)”, they shared an animated picture of the 3x All-American forward. Reese didn’t take much time to respond to this announcement. She responded by tweeting, “305 BARBIEEEE (crown emoji) SEE YALL IN THE YAMSSSSSSS (yawning emoji)”.

This 3×3 professional women’s basketball league is the brainchild of Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier and the current WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart. The league will feature 30 athletes competing in six different teams. As of now, 10 athletes have confirmed their participation. These are Reese, Stewart, Collier, Kelsey Plum, Rhyne Howard, Chelsea Gray, Arike Ogunbowale, Jewell Loyd, Jackie Young, and Kahleah Copper.

While Reese holds minimal experience in 3×3, it will be enticing to see her skills. Further, this will also result in keeping her off-season full of action. And with so many high-profile names already taking part, basketball s sure to flourish in this competition.
