Come February and A’ja Wilson’s literal journey will begin with her life story. The underdog’s tale ridden with trouble and trauma is already being hailed by the Aces who brought back-to-back glories to Vegas. Some of them are already giving their flowers to the captain for her second career.

A’ja Wilson as an exceptionally gifted athlete overcame all the adversities and led the Aces to their second consecutive WNBA championship. Alysha Clark heaped praises on A’ja Wilson

The Las Vegas Aces’ experienced campaigner Alysha Clark weighs in on her talented skipper. She spared her thoughts on the popular podcast show Come And Talk 2 Me recently. Alysha said, “I’m gonna give my flowers to A’ja Wilson. A’ja has a book that’s coming out in February. It’s called Dear Black Girls. She’s just telling her story is just amazing. It allows so many people to relate. It gives so many young black girls and boys to relate to, to look up to.”

A’ja Wilson had a memorable season with the Aces. She dominated the league in the latter half of the season. She was instrumental in the Aces completely sweeping off the Chicago Sky and Dallas Wings in the playoffs. Furthermore, the five-time WNBA All-Star carried on her good form to the Finals and even bested her regular season scores. A’ja had an average of 23.8 points along with 11.8 rebounds per game. As a result, she ended up winning the WNBA Finals MVP.

Alysha didn’t hold herself back from talking about A’ja’s contributions: “She’s doing everything so gracefully despite all the things thrown at her, whatever people are saying. She is the epitome of grace in that way. It’s because she’s so authentically herself. That is beautiful and amazing. I’m so happy for her.” In addition to this, Alysha also said that she had pre-ordered A’ja’s book.
