Sylvia Fowles is one of the most dominant women’s basketball players to ever enter the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Along with Maya Moore and Sue Bird, she arguably forms the most fearsome trio the league has ever seen. “Put us on a 3×3 team, you’d have some problems, we’d be pretty good,” Bird said, laughing. Well, Fowles would be the head of the snake with Bird dropping dimes from point. The center called it a day in 2022, but it’s her legacy that shines on. With that, let’s look at how much she earned in her 15-year career, along with her final contract with the Minnesota Lynx.

According to public estimates, Sylvia Fowles’ net worth in 2025 is estimated to be $1.5 million. That amount is the result of her 15 years in the WNBA, along with her stints overseas. When it comes to her career in Chicago, it had a bitter end. After the 2014 season, Fowles declined a Sky extension and formally requested a trade, making it known she wanted Minnesota. “Syl expressed interest in only going to one team,” the coach and general manager at the time, Pokey Chatman, said, “She felt like she wanted to try something new.” However, the deal was not easy, and she had to sit out the first half of the 2015 season to maintain leverage and avoid playing for Chicago.

Finally, the Sky made a blockbuster 3 team deal that sent Fowles to Minnesota. In hindsight, that turned out to be the correct decision for Fowles as she went on to be part of one of the most dominant dynasties in the league with Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus, and Lindsay Whalen. They won two titles after Fowles’ arrival while reaching another final.
