“We had success in year one, and we have even bigger plans for year two,” said Napheesa Collier during an interview with Sue Bird. The 3v3 women’s basketball league, co-founded by Queen Phee and Breanna Stewart, was considered “a success” by several people, including the TNT Sports chief content officer Craig Barry, thanks to the quality of the competition and the “consistency of the audience.” Therefore, going into Season 2, the league needed to do something new to retain the audience’s attention. From star rookies like Paige Bueckers to veterans like Kelsey Ṁitchell, Unrivaled will have new faces this season. However, one additional name, from the previous season, has also recently been retained.

A few hours ago, the official X account of ‘Unrivaled Basketball’ announced that it has signed Natisha Hiedeman for Season 2! The Minnesota Lynx star had last played for the Phantom BC after she was signed to a relief player contract due to Marina Mabrey sustaining a right calf injury in the pre-season. She was later reassigned to the Laces BC, on account of Alyssa Thomas and Jackie Young being unavailable. After Sabrina Ionescu exited from the league due to her Asia tour with Nike, Hiedeman rejoined the Phantom from March 3–8. With the recent announcement having “Year 1” listed next to Hiedeman, however, we can expect Season 2 to be the first full year in which the Lynx star plays.

Unrivaled had recently taken unique ways to make announcements. They would open up a page in a binder carrying the heading “Season 2 Unrivaled” and put a sticker that served as a hint by highlighting a unique characteristic of that player. For Natisha Hiedeman, a sticker highlighting a person with long blonde hair and a pink ribbon was put. One might be used to seeing Hiedeman in a short, pink hairdo. However, around a week-and-a-half ago, the WNBA star had taken to social media to highlight a blonde wig she had adopted as part of a ‘baddie’ makeover. Therefore, people in the comments section were able to easily figure out who Unrivaled was hinting at.

It is a good thing that Natisha Hiedeman is getting another chance to prove herself within the 3 v 3 league. After all, she couldn’t leave that much of an impression in the previous season.

How did Natisha Hiedeman perform in Unrivaled Season 1?

In total, Natisha Hiedeman played in a total of 13 Unrivaled games. During the same time, she accumulated a total of 94 points, or averaged 7.23 points per game. Additionally, she also recorded 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. She recorded +15 minutes in only 2 games, and her highest score was the 20 points she recorded in a game back in early March 2025 by shooting 7-11 field goals, 6-7 3-pointers, and 0-0 free throws.

When comparing her points stats, Natisha Hiedeman ranked all the way down in 32nd rank amongst the other Unrivaled players. Napheesa Collier occupied the top spot with her 25.7 points per game.

Over the course of the series, Hiedeman had some memorable moments, especially when linked up with her Minnesota Lynx teammate Kayla McBride during her tenure with the Laces. She also covered the offense back in February when Tiffany Hayes, Kate Martin, and Alyssa Thomas were all OUT, while Jackie Young and Kayla McBride were QUESTIONABLE due to injuries. In the end, she didn’t deliver at an exceptional level and didn’t garner any praise from her Unrivaled teammates/rivals.
