Lexie Hull and Aliyah Boston will not stay put in Indiana after the 2026 season ends, as both players have bagged lucrative multi-year deals to play in the ‘Unrivaled’ league for their third season. For years, WNBA players followed a usual script: Pack your bags and head to overseas leagues after the season ends. However, the advent of leagues like ‘Unrivaled’ has certainly changed the ecosystem. With more and more high-profile players signing up, Fever stars Boston and Hull will be joining them this offseason.

According to WNBA reporter Scott Agness on X, Aliyah Boston has re-signed with Unrivaled for the upcoming offseason. She has reportedly agreed to a multi-year deal, as announced by the league itself. The reporter went on to break the news about Hull as well in a separate X post.
Agness posted that Lexie Hull had been signed to a multi-year contract with Unrivaled, and that this would count as her third appearance for the alternate league, which was founded to be a player-focussed alternative during the WNBA offseason. This allows players like Boston and Hull to have added compensation beyond the WNBA and equity in a growing league.
Boston will now return for her third season with the Unrivaled. She was crowned the Unrivaled Defensive Player of the Year in January 2026 from Phantom BC and will look to defend that crown this offseason. She averaged 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.1 blocked shots per game for the Phantom in the 2026 season and set the Unrivaled record for most blocks in a season, recording 29 in 14 games for Boston.
Boston has emerged as one of the big three for Indiana this season, along with Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. She is the main defensive anchor for the Fever, averaging 17.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game this season, and leads the team in rebounds, blocks, and steals.
Boston has been joined by teammate Lexie Hull, who won the inaugural Unrivaled championship in 2025 as a member of Rose BC. She averaged 4.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 13 games for Rose BC during the 2026 season, which was her second season with the team. Hull and Boston are both starters for the current Fever roster, accompanied by Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Makayla Timpson.
Hull, a guard out of Stanford, has emerged as a key player for the Fever this season and is averaging 5.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game in just 19 minutes of playing time this season.
The Fever are 26-14 for the season and are locked in an intense battle with the Atlanta Dream to secure the fourth seed, which gives either team the home-court advantage in the playoffs. Fever are just 0.5 games ahead of the Dream after their comprehensive win against the Sun.

Unrivaled Surpasses Its Target in Latest Series C Fundraise
Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, the two co-founders of the ‘Unrivaled,’ have showcased that women’s basketball’s growth story is here to stay, judging by the voluminous growth that Unrivaled has seen in recent years, as they surpass their targets in their latest Series C funding.
In their latest statement release on August 26, Unrivaled has said that they have exceeded their $100 million Series C fundraising target. The latest round of funding values the women’s league at a staggering $650 million.
The latest funding round has attracted investors from all across the spectrum, from previous investors increasing their share to new investors coming on. As notable investors such as Jenny Just join the Unrivaled train, stars like Carmelo Anthony, Ashton Kutcher, Alex Morgan, Geno Auriemma, and Trae Young have reinvested in the league.
This funding is expected to fuel the growth of the league after its second successful season, which featured more teams and more stars in the lineup.
“This raise is fueling the next stage of Unrivaled’s growth and expanding our impact across the women’s basketball ecosystem,” said CEO and co-founder Alex Bazzell in a statement.
“We’re partnering with investors who share our vision to create lasting value and greater opportunity for the best players in the world, while continuing to elevate the game for fans. Unrivaled was built by players and for players, and their ownership, leadership, and ambition continue to drive the league forward and define a new model for the sport.”
Unrivaled was started to give the players a chance for a more equitable share of the league’s revenue. True to its word, the league shared that the player pool remains the largest in the equity pool, valued at $200 million, registering a growth of over 550%, per the league’s own statement.
Fans are excited for Unrivaled’s third season, which will start on January 27 and will feature some new faces as Olivia Miles and Gabby Williams sign on alongside Boston and Hull.
