Since music is such a big part of sports and life in general, it is no surprise that musicians and professional athletes have already had a deep connection. From attending games, shouting out to each other on social media, or even writing a song about a player, there has been plenty of ‘collaboration’ between the two. One of the biggest link-ups between the two fields in recent memory is between A’ja Wilson and Usher. Their relationship goes back to 2022 when A’ja Wilson invited him to the Aces’ victory parade. And now, as Jackie Young created WNBA history, Usher stayed true to his word.

During Game 2 of the 2025 WNBA Finals, Usher was in attendance for the game between the Las Vegas Aces and the Phoenix Mercury.
