After starting the season with two big wins, the Washington Mystics looked like a team to be feared. Led by two Rookie of the Year Candidates in Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, the young and hungry Mystics squad had fans dreaming big. But since then, things have gone downhill. The Mystics are now on a four-game losing streak away from home. Next up? A match against Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky at the Wintrust Arena on Tuesday, June 17, at 8 PM ET.

As for the Chicago Sky, they came into the season hoping to bounce back from last year’s dismal 13-27 season. Angel Reese and co hoped to make a strong playoff push this year. Heading into the game, the Washington Mystics have no new injury concerns. According to ESPN, the only player unavailable remains rookie guard Georgia Amoore, who suffered an ACL tear during the preseason and is expected to miss the entire 2025 W season.

Coming to the Chicago Sky, head coach Tyler Marsh confirmed that Moriah Jefferson, who has yet to make her season debut due to a leg injury, has resumed on-court activities. However, the match against the Mystics may come too soon, and she remains listed as out. Meanwhile, veteran guard and franchise all-time leading scorer Courtney Vandersloot, who tore her ACL against the Indiana Fever, is out for the season and will continue to be sidelined.

ESPN’s matchup odds have the Mystics (4-7) listed as favorites over the Sky (3-7), with a money line of -175 to Chicago’s +150. And when you dive into the stats, it’s easy to see why the oddsmakers are leaning toward Washington.
