After adding a World Cup gold medal to her growing résumé with Team USA, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has now turned her attention to another upcoming milestone. As the newly crowned World Champion in her debut edition, Nike and Clark couldn’t think of a better occasion to remind fans about the global release date of her highly anticipated Nike Caitlin 1.

Specifically, Nike themselves announced on Monday, sharing a short video that portrays Caitlin Clark actually reviewing the shoes, playing, shooting, and cutting hard on the hardwood while wearing and talking extensively about the sneaker. The video even ended with her saying:
“We are trying to make the best shoe there’s ever been.”
Clark also shared the post on X with her own comment.
“We are very close 😏,”
The release date for the shoes is set for October 1, 2026. However, as shared on the Nike website, the Caitlin 1 shoe and apparel collection will be available earlier, on September 24 in China, and will only be released on October 1 at Nike.com and select retailers.
Specifically, they will drop at 10:00 a.m. ET online, with the adult unisex sizing retailing for $140 USD in North America and $135 USD globally, while the Grade School sizes will retail for $115 and Preschool sizes for $105.
To keep the anticipation building, Caitlin Clark has been seen playing in Player Exclusive versions of the shoes since June 2026. The very first time the public saw her wear them in a game was on June 18, 2026, against the Atlanta Dream, just a day after she initially teased the shoe on Instagram.
Clark has also been seen gifting pairs of the Caitlin 1 to fellow WNBA players, including Indiana Fever teammate Tyasha Harris, who shared a video of the haul on Instagram, captioning it, “Christmas came early.”
Minnesota Lynx’s Natisha Hiedeman was another recipient of the shoes and was, in fact, the very first player besides Clark to actually wear them in a game, as she rocked a blue pair of the PEs during a matchup against the Seattle Storm.
Clark also personally handed a pair to Lynx Courtney Williams during the WNBA All-Star weekend in Chicago. In fact, Williams was so excited that she immediately declared, “I’m wearing these tonight,” and debuted them in the All-Star game.
Beyond players, Clark has also done several giveaways for fans, especially a massive interactive scavenger hunt she launched during the WNBA All-Star weekend, where Nike and Clark set up hidden drop-off locations and in-person giveaways across Chicago. During the WNBA All-Star weekend, a young girl also won a pair of the unreleased Nike Caitlin 1 sneakers through a special shooting challenge held during the Caitlin Clark Foundation events.
All of this, of course, counted as part of the promotional buildup as they headed toward the final release of the shoe to the public in October. The first version hitting shelves is the “Caitlin Blue” or Racer Blue colorway, which Clark has been previewing on-court and also used in the shared Nike video. Five other colorways, including “Warning Code” and “Midnight Fever,” are also scheduled to follow throughout the holiday season.
The shoe was finished with personal design details that are special to Caitlin Clark. For example, it features stacked Swooshes, an Opticast upper, and, of course, her signature CC logo.
The hope is that “every hooper puts this shoe on, and they can achieve whatever they want to.” If her previous merchandise sales are any indication, these shoes could likewise sell out in hours.
