[Jaelyn Brown] is dynamic, she’s athletic, she has the ability to get downhill…she’s a great rebounding guard,” Stephanie White said when addressing the players who had been battling for a spot on the final roster. Jaelyn Brown was traded to the Indiana Fever along with Sophie Cunningham and the 19th pick in the 2025 WNBA draft in a four-team deal between the Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury, and Connecticut Sun. However, in a recent update, things are not looking great for the 26-year-old.

The Indiana Fever waived Brown before the start of the regular season as part of the final cuts to finalize the roster. She was on a non-standard training contract, which means she is a free agent now. With that, let us delve deeper into Brown’s net worth.

What is Jaelyn Brown’s salary?

As discussed earlier, Jaelyn Brown has been waived by the Indiana Fever and will have her one-year contract voided. Had that not been the case, Brown would have made $66,079 as her salary for the season. Moving on, Brown will most probably go back to playing in international leagues and will earn her checks from there. Although her previous salaries internationally remain undisclosed, we can only assume that she will earn a decent wage, as most WNBA players end up making modest wages internationally.

As Brown would have made a little over $66,000 had she played for the Fever, let us peek at why her contract with the Fever was voided.

Why were Jaelyn Brown’s contracts waived?

It is difficult for players in the WNBA to secure a spot on the team. As team rosters are limited to 12 players before the start of the regular season, teams have to make the hard decision of waiving players and making cuts to finalize their rosters. Brown is facing a similar scenario to Fever, having to make tough calls while finalizing their roster.

Brown has been playing remarkably in international leagues and has shown flashes of her ability while playing for the Wings last season. Let us look at how her career has charted until now.
