The guard, who was brought in on a 7-day hardship contract, put up an average of 9.1 points across 7 games, coming off the bench. And she wasn’t stopping there. “It’s time to surprise some people (in the playoffs),” Powers expressed after her 15-point performance helped the team clinch a playoff berth. Aerial Powers was born on January 17, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan, to Juan and Cecelia Powers. As a result, she is American by nationality. She also represented the national team in 2015 at the World University Games held in Seoul, South Korea, along with Jordin Canda and Brionna Jomes. The team won all six games, including the championship game against Canada, with Powers being the top scorer at 18.0 points per game.
