Kysre Gondrezick’s Contract Breakdown
As of July 2025, Kysre Gondrezick is not under contract with any WNBA team. She was waived by the Chicago Sky in June 2024 and hasn’t signed with another franchise since. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t earn her stripes during her time in the league.
Across her short stint in professional basketball, Kysre earned a total of $100,529 from contracts with two teams:
Year | Team | Annual Salary |
2021 | Indiana Fever | $70,040 |
2024 | Chicago Sky | $30,489 |
It’s not the most lucrative WNBA career, but it was enough to set her up, and now she’s using that foundation to build something much bigger off the court.

Kysre Gondrezick’s College and Professional Career
A standout at West Virginia, Kysre Gondrezick made history as the highest-drafted player in Mountaineers history when she was selected fourth overall by the Indiana Fever in 2021. But her pro journey was anything but smooth. She played just 19 games in her rookie season before injuries sidelined her. After a long recovery, she signed a training camp contract with the Chicago Sky in February 2024.
Unfortunately, her comeback didn’t go as planned. Gondrezick saw just 16 minutes of total action and struggled to make an impact, shooting 28.3% from the floor. The Sky eventually waived her, marking another pause in her WNBA journey. Off the court, though, things were far more eventful.
Kysre made headlines when she was spotted at the Boston Celtics’ championship parade – on a float with none other than Finals MVP Jaylen Brown. Cameras caught the two together, and soon, fans realized there was something more. From courtside appearances at Summer League games to showing up at key events together, Kysre and Jaylen looked inseparable.

They even went Instagram official in August 2024 with a post featuring a cake with Brown’s face, their hands intertwined, and a bunch of luxury gifts. But since then, it’s been radio silence. The pictures have been wiped from those posts, and neither has commented publicly. Seems like that chapter might be over, too. Still, basketball has never fully left her life.
Though she isn’t currently on a roster, Kysre has stayed close to the game. She continues to train, and a video of her working out had fans buzzing. “Kysre still workinnn🙂↔️ I would have loved to see her in Unrivaled :/” one fan wrote, referencing the new women’s league founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. While she made it clear that wasn’t the plan and didn’t end up playing in Unrivaled, the passion is clearly still there.

On top of that, Kysre is set to debut in film projects expected to release in 2025.
