Howard averaged 14 points and 8.1 rebounds with a 51.6 field goal percentage while at Florida State. Natasha was drafted 5th overall in the 2014 draft by the Indiana Fever, but had a decent start with the team. During her second season, Indiana managed to reach the finals against the Minnesota Lynx. Despite losing in the finals, Howard stood out by not missing a single shot throughout the series. Howard was traded to the Lynx in 2016. She managed to reach her second consecutive WNBA finals but lost to the LA Sparks. Natasha went on to make her 3rd consecutive finals appearance the very next season. The Lynx managed to defeat the Sparks in the re-match, earning Howard her first championship.

Natasha was traded to the Seattle Storm the following season. She had a breakout season with the Storm, earning WNBA All-Defensive First Team and coming second in blocks that season. Howard made her fourth straight finals appearance as the Storm faced the Washington Mystics. Howard and the Storm defeated the Mystics in a clean sweep as she lifted her second championship. She was also named the WNBA’s most improved player. Howard was voted an All-Star the following season in 2019 and continued to play progressively better. She also received the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award that year, but failed to reach the finals. 

The 2020 season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Howard lifted her third championship, sweeping the Las Vegas Aces in the finals.
