Madison Conner swiftly entered the college basketball scene and swooped up impressive titles and cooked up a storm. Whether through three-point shooting or by leading the team through crucial timelines, Conner made her presence felt in the NCAA circles. She scored a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds during her first game with the TCU in 2023 and scored a career high of 41 points against Samford University. This was the first time the TCU Horned Frogs clutched the number in any game.

Besides, by scoring an average of 23 points, Madison single-handedly led the Frogs into their first-round Big Dance victory against Fairleigh Dickinson in 2025. Needless to say, when the promising guard entered the W drafts at the Shed this year, she was a sure pick, and the Seattle Storm made the honors. But the excitement did not last long. Alongside Jordan Hobbs, she was waived by the franchise after one pre-season game. Had she continued, what would have her contract been like?

What was Madison Conner’s contract with the Seattle Storm?

Madison Conner signed a three-year contract with the Seattle Storm. The deal was worth a whopping amount of $204,253. It even included an average annual salary worth $68,084. Had she made the roster, the Storm would have had an option to sign a one-year contract with Conner in 2028, where she would have received an optional salary worth $80,883. However, the end came a little to early.

The promising star was one of the key players during her collegiate years with the TCU. Smoothly transitioned from Arizona to TCU, she made remarkable progress throughout. With a career total of 326 points, 89 assists and 87 rebounds, her upward graph is a testament of sheer hard work and efforts. Madison jumped off the bench in her junior season to average 19.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3 assists per game. And the rest is history.

What was Madison Conner’s salary for the 2025 WNBA season?

According to Spotrac website, Conner was expected to earn a base salary of $66,079 during her rookie year with the Storm. Though the cap hit on the first year had not been specified, Conner would receive a salary raise worth $67,401 in 2026 and $70,773 in 2027. This leads to a cash cumulative amounting to a whopping $204,253 in three years.

But after being waived off by the Storm, Conner will at least be paid for the time she spent with the team.

Having said that, Conner isn’t completely dependent on her WNBA salary. The player had a couple of NIL deals to her name. The former student-athlete had signed a deal with a Christian school in 2023. Named the Rivertree Academy, the independent school is situated in Fort Worth, Texas, where they serve under privileged students by providing education and holistic overall development.

Why was Madison Conner waived by the Seattle Storm?

Madison Conner contributed 3 rebounds across 8 minutes in her first and only preseason game with the Wings. She was expected to strengthen the backcourt after having led NCAA in 3-pointers made while shooting 45% from the 3. However, with the team deciding to retain rookies Dominique Malonga and Serena Sundell, the Storm had to make a tough call.

This comes as part of roster adjustments before they hit the May 15, 2025, deadline. While there are 48 hours till a team signs Conner, it will be disheartening to miss the three-point shooter perform in what could have been her first stint at the pros.
