From having limited minutes to announcing a breakout year, Lexie Hull has remained patient, been her worst critic, and trusted the work she has put in. And now, what does she mean for the Indiana Fever? Stephanie White says, “We need her. She always does the little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet.” It has been a long and trying journey for the young guard, but the competitiveness her father instilled when young, and the encouragement her mother shows every step, keep her going. So, here’s a little of what we know about the two people who have shaped Lexie Hull’s story.

Oh my gosh… Really Lexie Hull?!? I asked her why she pushed her, and all she texted back was, ‘idk.’ Sure didn’t make her friend Rhyne very happy. SMH at my kid on that one,” Lexi’s mother wrote on social media.

Lexie Hull Family’s Athletic Background

Lexi Hull hails from a strong athletic background. While her father, Jason Hull, was a distinguished college athlete for Whitworth University, her grandfather also shared a connection with basketball. After all, grandad John Hull too was a college player for the Western Washington University.

So, when the Fever star and her sibling displayed an interest in the game, thanks to the exposure, her father donned the hat of a coach and the backyard became a playground. Despite a competitive atmosphere, he fueled his children with practical knowledge about the game as well as about life. And thus began Lexi’s journey towards basketball.
