Who Are Natasha Mack’s Parents?

Natasha Mack, a 6’3″ forward, was born back on November 3rd, 1997, in Lufkin, to Anthony Mack and Bonnie Mack (nee Lee). She has an older brother named Serrick Lee. Unfortunately, no further information is known about Anthony and Bonnie Mack’s history, what they do, etc, but their bond runs deeper than one can imagine.

In one of the interviews, Natasha Mack said, “Shoutout to my woman, my parents, my brother, my sister. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. They said, ‘Your time is coming,’ and I thought they were just talking,” when discussing her family. Today, she is playing in the WNBA Finals. But where do her parents come from?

Natasha Mack’s upbringing and family support

As reported by ‘The Athletic’, there were often tensions in Natasha’s household, which got so bad that Natasha moved in with her grandmother during her high school years. The family tensions, combined with advice from her friends in her ear, and a burned-out feeling from playing basketball, convinced Natasha to quit the sport after high school.

Next, Mack got a job at Pilgrim’s Pride chicken warehouse, which she hated. After all, as she recalled, “When I first arrived — the smell is awful — when you drive up, you’re like, ‘Ooh. I know I’m here from the smell.’ It was just … ugh. The process was long, cold … my feet would be moist and wet.”

Back in 2017, Natasha’s mother texted her. She wished to reconcile with her after telling her that she was getting remarried. “I reached out to invite her to my wedding. I was scared. I didn’t know if she would respond,” Lee said then. “I was always trying to fix everything, and I was like, ‘Lord, what did I do wrong as her mom?’ I went to church and said, ‘I give up.’ The pastor said, ‘No, you can’t give up.’ “So I just gave it to God, and He worked it out,” the mother of the Phoenix star spoke in an emotional interview.

Later, Bonnie helped her daughter prepare to return to basketball and claimed that she had her mind blown when Natasha told her she had signed a scholarship to play for the Angelina College Lady Runners. When Natasha asked to move back home, Lee reportedly said yes, and added that “As long as you are doing positive things, I will sacrifice, I will help, I will go broke for you.” Stories like these reflect that talent, even if put to the test, always comes out strong and victorious.

Does Natasha Mack have any siblings?

As mentioned earlier, Natasha Mack has an elder brother named Serrick Lee. As Natasha revealed during an interview back in 2021, the accolades she earned during her tenure at Oklahoma would not have been possible without the grueling workout regimen her brother put her through.

Whenever she wanted to quit, Natasha recalled that “My brother was like, no, you are still going to work out, we are still going to get it in, and to see how that translates into my game, yeah, it played a big part.” At the end, after his sister won five All-American awards, including defensive player of the year, Serrick was one happy man. He recalled, “Very proud moment as a big brother, she just had to get her mind straight and now she is going to achieve her dream and we are fixing to make it happen”.

Natasha Mack’s relationship with her family

After the reconciliation, Natasha Mack continues to have a good relationship with her family. During an interview with AZ Central back in 2025, she was asked about who inspires her on or off the court. Natasha replied, “My family. They’re cool people, and they just believe in me. In the things they do in real life, I think, how can I be that great?”

That same family would once again feel proud if the Phoenix Mercury end up lifting the WNBA championship trophy this season. Whether that happens or not is something that remains to be seen.
