More Paige Bueckers hoops? Yes, please. The UConn graduate has completely captured fans in her spell after her breakout rookie season with the Dallas Wings. Bueckers stomped her way to a near-unanimous Rookie Of The Year with 70 out of 72 votes. Now, as the WNBA heads to the offseason, we will still see Bueckers balling out, just in a different format. Paige Bueckers was officially announced as one of the first signees for player-owned 3 vs 3 Unrivaled’s 2026 season.

It was not really a surprise, as Bueckers agreed to a 3-year deal with Unrivaled a day before being picked as No.1 in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Now that Bueckers has been revealed as one of the poster girls for the 2026 season, the murmurs around which team Bueckers might end up have begun. The WNBA fandom is practically on its knees to pair the point guard with Angel Reese at Rose BC. If Unrivaled bends to the fans’ request, it could trigger a domino that would affect Reese’s WNBA future.
Bueckers previously told Annie Costabile of Front Office Sports as to her preferred destination, “Nowhere specific.” She added, “Wherever I end up.” While Bueckers isn’t concerned, the fans absolutely are. They want Bueckers and Angel Reese playing together. “Now put her on Rose BC with @Reese10Angel,” Wrote a fan with a Leonardo DiCaprio GIF, saying, “Let’s F****** go!”Reese and Bueckers are box office, and the thought of Reese finishing Bueckers’ dimes is downright delicious.

“She’s a Rose, mind you,” Wrote another fan. To be clear, Angel Reese is on Rose BC, and she won the league’s first defensive player of the year award last year. Reese led the league in rebounds, averaging 12.1 per game, and led her team in blocked shots. Bueckers is a 3v3 phenom herself. She was on the Team USA with Aliyah Boston and Hailey Van Lith that went 7-0 while winning gold at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, and captured multiple national 3-on-3 titles that year. Bueckers playing with Reese will quickly become a problem for the rest of the league.

“Put Paige on the Rose and move Lexie Hull to another team.” Wrote another fan. That’s kind of impossible. The Unrivaled team selection is done via pod-based selection from the coaches, with the pods based on the position and style of play. Last year, the coaches built balanced rosters and then assigned their respective teams to avoid any bias. Looking ahead to 2026, it’s unknown whether this will remain the same. If it does, even Reese’s team is not finalized. The league is already adding two new teams, Breeze Basketball Club and Hive Basketball Club, adding more complications. As of now, this Reese-Bueckers link-up remains a fever dream of WNBA fans, but it has the potential to turn the WNBA and the Unrivaled upside down.
A Bueckers‑to‑Reese partnership won’t just sell tickets; it will drive ratings, road crowds, and merch. The duo effect multiplies attention across markets, making teaming them up beneficial for Unrivaled. If it happens, Bueckers could play Dallas recruiter, nudging Reese to join her. The former “Chi-Town Barbie” (She has dropped it from her Instagram Bio) is not in the best terms with her franchise. The latest sign was Reese, along with a few others, opting out of their exit interviews. “I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me.” Reese had said in that famous Julia Poe interview.

Reese and Bueckers have more than amicable relations. “I’ve known Paige for a long time. We were the No. 1 and No. 2 players in our [recruiting] class, so we’ve been in a relationship for a really long time,” Reese said regarding playing with Bueckers at the 2025 All-Star Game. “It’s good to finally be able to play together instead of playing against each other.”While we discuss star power, how will Angel Reese fit with the Dallas Wings and Paige Bueckers?

Angel Reese is The Perfect Stylistic Fit For Paige Bueckers’ Dallas Wings
There won’t be a shortage of suitors for Reese as she is halfway out the Chicago Sky door. From the New York Liberty to the Connecticut Sun, they will try and bring Reese in. But none of them are as good as the Dallas Wings, considering her game and long-term prospects. We are not the first ones to suggest a Wings trade for Angel Reese.
“The Dallas Wings have their point guard of the future in Paige Bueckers. But outside of that, they’re lacking in long-term pieces. Reese has made serious strides as a secondary ball-handler and playmaker, all while continuing to make a presence as a rebounder and defender.” Wrote Sporting News contributor David Suggs.

Reese’s stats do all the talking to make her case. She averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting at 45.7%. That is an improvement from her rookie season in every metric except rebounds. In 2025, with the Sky, she had more of the ball, and Tyler Marsh used her to run the offense a lot of times. Hence, her increased turnovers (3.9 per game) would likely be addressed next season.

She had the highest usage rate (23.3 %) in the Sky squad, but that won’t be the case at the Wings. Bueckers would have more of the ball, and Reese could focus better on what she does best: crash the boards and be a force in the paint while creating now and then. Even from a role perspective, it makes sense.

Take Liberty, for example, who will be dying to have Reese to grab their rebounds (7th best rebounding team 2025). She will not be the standout star leading the franchise with the likes of Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart still around (likely). While with Dallas, she will get a major popularity push by partnering up with Bueckers while retaining squad importance. Yes, she will share the stage with Bueckers, but she can’t lead a team to titles on her own, can she?
