DiJonai Carrington took time out to attend the Las Vegas Aces vs. Washington Mystics game on Thursday. And it is safe to say that at least one of her reasons for being there was to see Jackie Young play. And a courtside exchange between the two after the game confirmed what most people would have already assumed. The fact that it turned into a season’s best night so far for the Vegas guard was a bonus that probably none of them expected.

As seen in a video shared by WNBA commentary account Zavante on X, the two had a courtside moment that was unambiguously warm and personal. Jackie Young walked over to Carrington after the final buzzer, the two embraced, and Young followed it up with a kiss on the cheek before they started a conversation.
However, DiJonai Carrington herself gave a shout-out to Jackie Young from the sidelines, in a clip uploaded by Sports on Prime.
“Hey y’all, it’s DiJonai Carrington, I’m here in Vegas. Second of all, a great game, shout out to Agent Zero,” Carrington said, referencing Young’s nickname, which she got because she wears jersey No. 0 while playing for the Las Vegas Aces.
DiJonai Carrington was able to attend the game because the Chicago Sky have a four-day gap in their regular season schedule following their game against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. And with the Sky already out west on a multi-game road trip, having played in Seattle on Monday and heading back for the upcoming rematch on Sunday, Carrington was geographically well-placed to make the trip down to Nevada.
Jackie Young dropped a season-high 32 points against the Washington Mystics, shooting an efficient 10-of-14 from the field and 5-of-8 from three-point range. She also added five assists and two rebounds. And at one point during the game, she scored 12 consecutive points for the Aces to build a decisive lead that helped seal an 83-76 victory.
Jackie Young is enjoying one of her finest statistical campaigns, averaging 18.3 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game across 33 games for the Las Vegas Aces. The same cannot, however, be said of her partner Carrington, as her 2026 season has been severely disrupted by injury and a dramatic change in role. While Jackie Young has played a full, elite campaign, Carrington has only been able to appear in 7 games for the Chicago Sky after making a very late-season debut at the end of July.
Following Carrington’s high-profile and public split from former partner NaLyssa Smith, her reported relationship with Young has become one of the most talked-about storylines in women’s basketball. Dating rumours first surfaced in March when they posted similar social media posts and have since been confirmed, with both players making little effort to keep their relationship out of public view.
