Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston have a chance to bring the best gift for their Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull on her birthday. On Sep. 13, the WNBA star celebrated her 27th birthday, on the same day that Team USA plays France in the gold medal game in the 2026 FIBA World Cup. While Hull waits for the good news from her national team, the Fever team made sure to start her special day with a message on the team’s social media.

“Happy birthday to Lexie Hull. Help us wish her a HBD,” the post on X from the Indiana Fever read.
The WNBA also celebrated the Fever guard’s birthday with a similar message on X.
“Join us in wishing Happy Birthday to 2025 Commissioner’s Cup Champion, Lexie Hull,” the post read.
Hull and the Fever won the Commissioner’s Cup in 2025 during a time when Caitlin Clark was out with an injury. Hull played an instrumental part, scoring six points in 15 minutes and making 2 of her 3 shots from the 3-point line, helping the Fever defeat the Minnesota Lynx for the title.
Hull’s birthday comes just days after she made arguably her biggest business decision. The WNBA star launched FORTA Cosmetics, a performance beauty company, with her former Stanford roommate Sarah Guller. The former college roommates had been trying to manufacture the perfect cosmetic product, especially designed for athletes, working professionals, and people who are always on the move.
“We wanted makeup that could actually keep up with those active lifestyles,” Hull told Sporting News earlier this week.
“Whether that was running errands, whether you’re a professional athlete like me and working very hard in workouts, or you just have long days and you’re running from business meeting to business meeting. You want to still feel beautiful and confident.”
The idea behind Hull launching her own brand was very personal for Hull. It was born out of issues that she had faced as an athlete since high school. Traditional cosmetic products couldn’t sustain the level of activity that Hull and Guller were involved in. Hull plays professional basketball, and Guller has a very hardcore workout regimen. They wanted a product that sat at the intersection of performance and beauty.
Hull plays basketball as a pro. That is pretty much it in her life. She didn’t like that feeling of going home and not being able to turn off basketball. She wanted her creative juice to flow. Moreover, attaching her name to FORTA became crucial in giving customers confidence.
“Being an athlete definitely gives me a platform, but being a founder is a much cooler part of the process because you’re responsible for the product, the brand, all the decisions. I didn’t want to just endorse it. I really wanted to help build it from the ground up.”
For now, FORTA’s business revolves around Lock & Go Setting Spray, the PR Proof Lip Stain, and The Sponge. Lock & Go Setting Spray was sold out on day one of the release, and Hull is expecting a positive result from other products as well. However, the Fever star has a bigger team for her company to get out of her shadow and build its own identity.
“Hopefully, five years from now, FORTA is a company where people genuinely love the product, not just because they know that an athlete founded it,” Hull said. “I hope that it can stand alone in its own category with or without me.”
Hull was drafted by the Indiana Fever out of Stanford in 2022 at No.6 overall. Since then, she has been a core part of the Indiana Fever and has moved into the core group in the last few years. After Caitlin Clark joined the Fever in 2024, Hull has been their regular starter.
Fun Fact: Lexie Hull shares her birthday with twin sister Lacie Hull, who was also her teammate on the Stanford basketball team.
