The Indiana Hoosiers are just one win away from the College Football Playoff National Championship. As the world gears up for the big game, Indiana wide receiver Elijah Sarratt had the media laughing with a hilarious reference to Caitlin Clark during his January 17 interview.

When asked what his dog is named, Sarratt said, “CC. They may not like it, [but] she’s named after Caitlin Clark. That’s why I named her [that],” he said. “Indiana fans may not like that. But yeah, that’s my American bully. She’s my daughter right there.” And now Caitlin Clark has responded to those comments, and you definitely don’t want to miss what she said.

“Big Indiana fan Monday night,” Clark commented on an Instagram post, according to X user @clarkmode_. That wasn’t the only comment, either. She also wrote, “Hope he scores 3 TDs Monday night.”
Calling an American Bully “Caitlin Clark” is definitely an interesting choice!
Ever since Clark stepped into college hoops and now the W, all she has done is bully teams with her talent. She dragged Iowa to two straight national championship games, became the all-time leading scorer across men’s and women’s college basketball, and then hit the WNBA and won Rookie of the Year while smashing scoring and assist records. That’s just who she is.

If you’re an Indiana Hoosier fan, this might have caught you off guard. Indiana and Iowa have built a serious rivalry in women’s hoops, and they’ve spent the last few years battling for Big Ten supremacy. The Hoosiers aren’t in that mix this season, but during the Caitlin Clark era, they were right there, and Clark gave them plenty of headaches along the way.
Yes, Caitlin Clark is now playing for the Indiana Fever, and she actually brought that up in her first press conference with the team. She said she liked the idea of staying in the Midwest since it felt familiar, rather than having to relocate to one of the coasts. And she clearly enjoys being a Fever.

Caitlin Clark built a reputation for coming up big against Indiana during her time at Iowa. One of the memorable moments was the 2022 Big Ten Tournament championship in Indianapolis, where she helped deny the Hoosiers a title. Even if the exact win–loss numbers differ depending on the season, CC consistently delivered strong performances against Indiana when the spotlight was brightest.
And that’s exactly why it’s refreshing to see Clark rooting for the Hoosiers against Miami this Monday. College rivalries run deep, but Indiana is home for her now, so it’s not a shock to see her support the team. Hoosiers fans will be hoping Elijah Sarratt really does have a big night and gets those three touchdowns Clark wants him to get.
Speaking of Caitlin Clark being active on social media, there was another moment with Chloe Bibby that has gone viral.

Chloe Bibby Has Fun at Caitlin Clark’s Expense
On Thursday, the Fever joined the viral ten-year throwback trend, sharing old photos of players who have been part of the franchise over the past decade. The post included Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, Sydney Colson, Chloe Bibby and others… but no Caitlin Clark, which clearly didn’t sit too well with her.
“Can’t be got,” Clark commented, and the Fever admin quickly clarified that they simply didn’t have any photos of her from 2016. That’s when Chloe Bibby jumped in to have some fun: “@caitlinclark22, were you even walking by then? Or still in diapers?”

Even with five season-ending injuries last season, including those of Clark and Bibby, fun and games were a real theme for the Fever. And while nobody knows if they’ll actually share the floor next year, the camaraderie clearly hasn’t gone anywhere. If this is any indication, we’re in for more banter and more entertainment from them in the future.
