Megan Thee Stallion is an Angel Reese stan. “Oh, I feel like everybody knows Reese is my girl—that’s my twin,” the rapper said during an interview in March 2026. Reese first met Stallion in May 2024 during Megan’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour” stop in Chicago, when she was invited backstage. Ever since then, they have shared a “sister”-like relationship. So, as Stallion is going through a tough time, Reese has naturally jumped in for support. 

The hip hop star announced her break-up with NBA star Klay Thompson just this past week. She accused the NBA star of infidelity and “horrible mood swings” in an Instagram post. “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season,” the three-time Grammy winner wrote. “Now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? … I need a REAL break after this one… bye y’all.”

Just hours later, Stallion took the stage for Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway. The rapper was visibly emotional on stage and was captured by multiple fans as she teared up. Reese quoted this video and sent a solidifying message of support for Stallion. 

“It’s the way you show up even while carrying so much—that’s what makes you THAT girl. You always have a little sister riding for you at dawn. I love you, sister,” Reese wrote on X, adding a white heart emoji. The message has resonated with WNBA fans and Megan Thee Stallion fans as they are uniting in support of Stallion.

Reese has always insisted on loyalty, whether its from her partner or her friends and family. 

“Just finding the reality of what genuine love is like. I’m young, and still figuring things out. And I think you find someone that is helping you learn this life thing at the same time. Like I said, I’m big on loyalty,” Reese said in a recent interview. “You ride with me, I’mma ride with you. Through any and all. So as long as we doin’ that, and rocking, then we’re gonna be okay.” And there is a reason for the overwhelming support for Reese and Stallion, as both have been mercilessly criticized by social media. 

“The way both of these ladies have been torn down over any and everything is disgusting. I’m glad they endure and have each other,” a fan commented. “I really hope she has her tribe and a tight circle!” pitched in another. Ever since her Maryland days, Reese has been trolled on social media with multiple insults thrown around. But she has navigated through that quite well. 

Much like Stallion.  Angel Reese turned the Mebounds tag into a branding opportunity. She does have bad moments but she always intends to avoid them outshining the good ones. The similarity in their situation makes Reese the perfect supporter during this time for Stallion. 

“so are you gonna slap lexie brown when you see her?” Jokingly asked another fan. Lexie Brown, the Seattle Storm star, is the player Thompson is being accused of cheating with. However, those are just rumors. So far neither Stallion, Thompson, nor Brown has admitted to any of the talk around social media.
