Angel Reese Welcomes 22YO Star to Chicago and Celebrates LSU’s Success in 2024 NFL Draft : “Every Year This What We Do”

The young college stars are making a lot of noise this time around. Be it in basketball or football, this time the draft classes are filled with exceptional talents all around. After a noteworthy WNBA Draft, it was the case in the recent NFL drafts as well when the Chicago Bears grabbed two dynamic athletes. Thrilled by this development, another Chicago star this year, Angel Reese extended her welcome to these new recruits.

USC Trojans superstar quarterback Caleb Williams was the name on everyone’s lips as he was the No. 1 overall pick for the Bears. This followed a series of reactions that had the 3x All-American also in the mix.

Clearly, Angel Reese was among the many who were glad about how the Chicago Bears utilized their No. 1 overall privileges. Soon after the announcement, Reese used her official X account to demonstrate her jubilation. While tagging Caleb, she posted, “DMV TIES! LET’S TURN THE CITY UP!! CONGRATS GANG!”

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner at USC was one of the five quarterbacks in the first round that had 12 names. This became a historic occasion as it tied the selection of most quarterbacks in the first round. Moreover, this is the first time that out of the 10 initial draft picks, 5 turned out to be quarterbacks. Consequently, the first half of the drafts was flooded with offensive choices.

Meanwhile, there were also some noteworthy inclusions from Reese’s alma mater, LSU, in the draft.

LSU’s Jayden Daniels grabbed the second position in the draft. He will now be a part of The Washington Commanders’ locker room. The 23-year-old was the nation’s leader last season offensively, accumulating a total of 4,946 yards next to his name. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner was soon followed by Malik Nabers who was No.6 and was picked by The New York Giants. The third LSU name for the night was wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. He was placed at the 23rd spot and made his way to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This elated Reese, as in another post, she appreciated their inclusion in these reputed franchises. She tweeted, “3 LSU GUYS FIRST ROUND!!! EVER YEAR THIS WHAT WE DO!! CONGRATS GUYS!!”

This overwhelming reception clearly proves how much everyone is excited to see these college stars in the big leagues. The amount of hype that these NCAA names have created is truly commendable. Now, the manner in which they make the most of their opportunities will be worth a watch.
