Seems like Angel Reese is getting a grand welcome to the Windy City. And surely, her recently revealed role model, Serena Williams, is on the list of people welcoming the 21-year-old. The tennis icon has ensured that the freshly minted Chi Barbie feels at home through all the changes. Hence, gifting the No. 5 of the Chicago Sky with some relaxing essentials was a must.

The Baltimore native gave her 3 million Instagram followers a sneak peek into the trunk of goodness she received from Serena Williams. She captioned the story, “Much needed for the start of training camp! Thank you @SerenaWilliams & @WillPerform.” The chic trunk also had a hand-written letter from the 23x Grand Slam singles winner. The letter said, “Angel! Congratulations on your exciting new chapter! As you take some well-deserved rest, it’s only right we give you our essentials, The Bayou Barbie way!”

The surprise included a ‘Will Perform’ Epsom salt stick along with the entire batch soak care package. Williams ended the letter by saying, “We can’t wait to see what’s next in your amazing journey.” Apparently, there were some goodies from her company as well, at the bottom of the trunk.

Some of the products by Will Perform featured in the gift pack were an Epsom salt shower stick worth $12.99 and a bath soak for $6.99. The Tennis legend also added Will Relieve lidocaine pain relief roll-on, Will Relieve lidocaine pain relief spray, Will Rest nightly muscle recovery lotion, and Will Soothe daily muscle soothing lotion in the package. These are all worth $12.99 each.

Like Williams, Reese has shot to fame at a very young age. Hence, with the talent recognizing talent, Williams has shown interest in investing in a WNBA team. Does this growing fondness signal something upcoming?

Will Angel Reese join hands with Serena Williams soon?

The 4x Olympic gold medalist has influenced young women on and off the court, among them is the former Lady Tiger. She has also started investing in them as future prospects. Previously, while talking to CNN Sports, Williams has also shown her inclination to expand her interests to the WNBA. She reportedly had been waiting for the right conditions. Which, according to her, she has seen in the last couple of years. Currently, Serena has ownership stakes in Angel City FC and LA Golf Club.

Her husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian has also cheered for Caitlin Clark on more than one occasion, suggesting that he already told everyone about her greatness. Hence, while we cannot say whether or not Angel Reese and her new team are Williams’ target or not, there surely seem to be some signs for the Tennis star soon putting her name on a WNBA team. Maybe, the expansion of the league could also be an option.
