After spending close to five fruitful years with the Jumpman brand, the German superstar has decided to sign a lucrative deal with her native sneaker powerhouse, Adidas. The German giants have landed a major star, and the partnership promises to shake up the sneaker game in a big way.

The WNBA star expressed her excitement, calling it a pivotal moment in her career, “Joining the Adidas Basketball family is a dream come true. Candace Parker, former WNBA player and now President of Adidas Women’s Basketball, left no doubt about the importance of landing Satou Sabally for the brand. The 3 WNBA champ called it a cornerstone move for Adidas Basketball.

“Satou was a priority addition to the Adidas Basketball family, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her joining. However, Satou Sabally leaving Jordan to sign with Adidas won’t be the only reason she’ll be in the headlines for, there’s another major twist brewing! The WNBA superstar is reportedly on her way out of the Dallas Wings, and speculation about her next destination is already running wild.

Where can Sabally head to next?

As one of the top free agent this offseason, the Wings star was previously linked to the Indiana Fever. But the defending champions New York Liberty are slowly becoming the favorites to land her. Not only does New York boast a strong roster, but Sabally would have the opportunity to reunite with her college teammate, Sabrina Ionescu, and her sister, Nyara Sabally both of whom play for the Liberty.

Sabrina Ionescu has weighed in on the rumors, offering her perspective on a potential reunion with Sabally. “I think my (experience) is little bit different, because we played together in college. I would say I’m trying to help and advise her, regardless if she comes to New York or not.”
