Since Angel Reese departed from LSU for the WNBA, Flau’jae has been on her front foot. Even in LSU’s last game against Tulane this Wednesday night, she had an impressive 25 points along with those 12 rebounds. It might look normal to you until you know that this performance made her one of the first Power 4 players to hit up to 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists this season. “In her big bag,” her proud mother penned on X. Because of these impressive achievements, it’s no surprise that fans keep wondering if Flau’jae is eligible for the draft. So, she addressed it.

In a recent episode of her podcast show,The Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae,” the 21-year-old addressed all the questions around her eligibility for the 2025 draft. “Actually, I have a secret, and I guess the best time to put it out would be now, on my podcast… After heavy consideration, and just talking with my team, my family, and everybody involved in my athletic career, I want to let y’all know that I will be… I’m just playing,” she started with. But don’t get too excited—she didn’t reveal anything, not yet at least.

The 21-year-old then burst into laughter and conveyed the buzz around her being in the Draft. She even mentioned that she keeps checking X for the fans’ debate about her arrival. “Everybody keeps asking me, just give it time, bro. Give it time… If you don’t know, I am eligible for the [WNBA] Draft this year. So I’m kind of just letting God guide me,” she expressed.

What else would you expect from a player in a leadership position for LSU? This is no surprise as she has played a vital role during LSU’s first two NCAA seasons. Even so, the question remains the same. Will she be entering the 2025 draft or the 2026 WNBA draft instead? While her entering the season might be unsure, the LSU guard has only highlighted the team she’ll probably get into.

It’s Indiana Fever

During her November 7th episode of the podcast show, Johnson was seen praising the Fever for hiring Stephanie White as the team’s new head coach. “The Indiana Fever having Stephanie White as a head coach, I really like that,… I love that. I feel like she’s a player’s coach,” she shared.

Well, the bond between the two isn’t a new one. Johnson knows White from her days at Vanderbilt. Johnson wanted to play at the university coached by White, but as the “good coach” left the role, she preferred LSU. But, she will have an opportunity to join a team coached by White if she gets to enter the 2026 draft.

Johnson is projected to be a mid-first-round pick in the 2026 WNBA draft. So, if the Indiana Fever had a season similar in 2025 to the one they had in 2024, they could be in a prime position to draft Johnson. However, if she enters this year, the result might be slightly different. Still, what do you think? Will she enter the draft this year or next year?
