Despite playing for 30 minutes, Steph Curry struggled to score a lot against the Charlotte Hornets. During the game, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark took to TikTok to put in a request for the Hornets. An analyst saw this TikTok comment as a subtle but serious plea to the WNBA management.

Basketball analyst Robin Lundberg spoke about Clark’s comments on the Robin Lundberg Show. He claimed that Clark’s comment, while talking in support of Stephen Curry, could have been voicing her struggles in the WNBA.

“It almost felt like Caitlin Clark was speaking for herself in a sense by saying that about Steph,” Lundberg said, drawing comparisons between the duo. Just like Steph Curry is always put under relentless pressure from the get-go, with the opposition resorting to bumping, holding, and grinding with him, Caitlin’s situation is also similar.

Clark had commented on TikTok that people want to see her idol score 12 three-pointers in the game and sent a subtle message to the referees to call out the fouls in the game.

“We want to see Steph make 12 threes a game, stop grabbing him, please,” Caitlin Clark had pleaded under a Stephen Curry video where he was engaged in a duel with the Charlotte Hornets players as they were tugging at his shirt and getting extra physical. Lundberg thinks this has a direct connection with what Caitlin Clark deals with every day on the court, and maybe this is her way of taking a subtle dig at the WNBA for letting them go unchecked.

Caitlin Clark had once said about the flagrant fouls she is subjected to daily during her early years with the WNBA. An issue that has been pervasive throughout her WNBA career. It’s hard to decipher what she really feels about this, as she had brushed off the concerns, calling the sport “physical”.

“I think everybody is physical with me. They get away with things that probably other people don’t get away with. It’s tough, but that’s just the fact of the matter,” Caitlin Clark said.

People still have not forgotten when Chicago’s Chennedy Carter shoulder bumped her and knocked her to the floor before an inbound pass during a Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever game. Or perhaps when Jacy Sheldon blatantly eyepoked Caitlin as she was trying to pass, all these incidents just keep on happening now and again to the no 1 draft pick. Of course, not without reasons, as Lundberg pointed out.

“When you are Caitlin Clark, and you get the attention that she does, you’re going to get outsized defensive attention in a rookie season. She was blitzed more to start that year than any team,” said Lundberg, but also added how Caitlin handled it in a sportsmanlike manner, “Caitlin hasn’t come out and said what they are doing isn’t basketball that often. I think she spoke about the Chennedy Carter play that wasn’t a basketball play. But she hasn’t really complained publicly, overtly, often about the way she’s grabbed and held on the perimeter.”

The plea somewhat resonates with the fanbase. The WNBA fans, just like the NBA fans, want to see both Stephen Curry and Caitlin Clark shoot hoops, and so to stop them from doing that unfairly is probably a sin at this point. Usage of fair means is appreciated, but going beyond that does not help matters, feels Lundberg. Maybe this is how Caitlin is finally putting her message across.

Well, Caitlin Clark’s name is doing the rounds everywhere, but this time around it’s for a whole different reason.

Indiana Football Star Names His Pet After Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has made the news for a lot of reasons, mostly her excellence on the hardwood, but this time is unlike any other. Apparently, Indiana Hoosiers receiver Elijah Sarratt has named his dog after the Fever star. “CC. They may not like it (but) she’s named after Caitlin Clark,” and he accepts that name probably might not impress some hardcore Indiana fanatics.

The news spread like wildfire and caught the attention of Clark, who reacted to the news by wishing him luck in his upcoming College Football game. “Hope he scores 3 touchdowns Monday night. Big Indiana fan Monday night,” she commented, liking what she saw as she commented on a TikTok post.

It might be surprising for many how this bond developed between Caitlin Clark and Indiana. During her college days, they were involved in games that weren’t always friendly, and this comes from Caitlin’s own confession.

“Hated playing at Indiana, and they hated me,” Clark had said, but now that she has joined with Indiana, maybe those differences have ceased to exist. She is now one of their biggest cheerleaders despite coming out of the ranks of one of Indiana’s Big Ten rivals.
