Two big injuries saw her sit out a major portion of the 2025 WNBA season and restricted the hysteria surrounding her on-court performances to a large extent. But Caitlin Clark has been everywhere in 2025. From inking record commercial deals for a WNBA athlete to featuring in hyped merch rollouts, the Indiana Fever guard has been making the headlines off the court for the large part of 2025.

“I’m back,” Caitlin Clark said as the duo welcomed her. “I’m honored you guys brought me back on. I must not have been too bad the first time, I guess.”

Caitlin’s appearance on a special edition episode of New News has piqued fans’ expectations, with everyone’s eyes glued to what the 23-year-old might reveal next. Many expect Caitlin to divulge some details behind her latest Nike commercial, seeing as the Kelce brothers starred in it as well, and Nike prominently sponsors the Podcast.

The Indiana Fever guard collaborated with Nike for the Kobe 5 Protro PE sneaker release in 2025. But her latest commercial with the iconic brand, titled “Make it from Anywhere”, has garnered worldwide attention. The tweet has 2.7 million views to date and has created massive hype surrounding her rumored 2026 shoe release with Nike.

There is also an intrigue to see if Caitlin Clark will reveal anything about her team on her return to the New Heights podcast. It has been a whirlwind 2025 for the Indiana Fever, especially with the WNBA currently in off-season and the 2026 WNBA Draft coming up.

What happened the last time Caitlin Clark appeared on the New Heights podcast?

The major surprise from Caitlin Clark’s first appearance on the New Heights podcast was that she is a certified football aficionado. Clark talked almost like an analyst and not just a fan while revealing that she was a long-time Kansas City Chiefs fan. And to little surprise, Travis Kelce was her favorite player.

“People think I’m a bandwagon Chiefs fan. I’m like, I was a fan before Patrick and Travis were on the team…We were ride or die.”

“Travis is [my favorite player]. I’m a big Patrick Mahomes fan too,” she added.

The podcast touched on multiple topics, such as her eardrum getting ruptured in her rookie WNBA season, her views on dipping NBA ratings, and potential solutions to tackle the same. But one of the key takeaways was her experience at the Eras Tour. Caitlin Clark, as she so proudly states, is a Swiftie.

The Eras Tour marked the start of a unique bond, with the Indiana Fever guard attending several shows in Indianapolis and receiving exclusive merchandise tied to the tour. The friendship continued afterwards as well, with the 23-year-old attending Chiefs games alongside Taylor Swift. There is a certain air of expectancy that an appearance at the Indiana Fever game is overdue from the power couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Caitlin Clark also revealed how she navigated the NIL fever that is gripping the game of basketball of late, and about the problems surrounding the rule. However, little did she know how big the NIL effect would become in the year 2025. With NBA players going back to college basketball for exorbitant financial packages, the coaches at the college level have been very vocal about the NIL abuse going on and how it is damaging the NCAA program for good.

Well, while we are sure Clark and the Kelce brothers will revisit some topics from their initial conversation, there is hope that we get a glimpse into what 2026 holds for Caitlin Clark.
