Paige Bueckers has been having quite a time after being the number one pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. The Dallas Wings guard won the Rookie of the Year for 2025, and even made it onto the All-WNBA 2nd team. Bueckers also made her Unrivaled debut, representing Team Breeze in Season 2.

The 24-year-old has been strutting her stuff in the 3×3 fast-paced basketball format for Team Breeze, leading the league in assists and boasting the 3rd highest scoring average (23.4). Bueckers’ 37 points helped Team Breeze to an 83-64 win over Team Mist, and on the way, also won the Xfinity Free Throw Challenge. She boasts a perfect 13-for-13 record from the free throw line in Unrivaled Season 2, and as a result, pocketed the prize purse of $50,000.
Speaking after recording the convincing win, the 24-year-old highlighted how Unrivaled is helping the players with the financial muscle.

“It’s huge. I think from when I was growing up watching and playing and having all these amazing idols to look up to, and then just to see how much the growth is now and how much accessibility, how many people are investing in women’s sports and women’s basketball specifically. It means everything to us because we invest so much into the game. To see other people invest that much into us as well, it’s very motivating, not just for us but for the next generation to come as well,” Bueckers noted.
With a moratorium agreed upon and no CBA resolution so far, the WNBA is mired in uncertainty, with the possibility of delays, a curtailed season, or even a lockout. In the midst of all this, Unrivaled Basketball’s ability to provide players a healthy financial package allows the stars to maintain their confidence and faith in Women’s Basketball, especially with other leagues like Project B also arriving.
Meanwhile, Paige Bueckers has been on fire in Unrivaled Season 2.

She has scored with an accuracy of over 52% from open play. She recorded an Unrivaled career-high on the night, ending the game with 37 points, and her two successful free throws ensured she won the Free Throw Challenge. Her performance saw Team Breeze return to victorious ways after two losses in a row.

Paige Bueckers can take home more with the Unrivaled 1-on-1 Tournament
The $50,000 prize money will come in handy for Paige Bueckers, who chose not to reveal what she plans to do with the purse. The 24-year-old has now seen her financials rise, with a WNBA contract, NIL deals, and commercial deals. However, Bueckers can also set her eyes on a bigger prize purse while competing in Unrivaled.
Unrivaled Season 2 also sees the return of the 1-on-1 tournament that boasts a winning prize of $200,000. The members of the winning team also take home $10,000 each.

Given that Bueckers got a record number of fan votes in the All-Star voting for a rookie, she is likely to make the list.
Last season’s winner, Napheesa Collier, is not participating in Unrivaled this season, and Paige Bueckers has already shown a penchant to drive into opponents and revel in 1-on-1s on the court. While her defensive output has been questioned, she has stepped up in that regard as well and might prove to be a real contender for the 1-on-1 tournament.
