The 2021 Solheim Cup is currently underway at the Inverness Golf Club in Ohio. And going into the Monday singles, there is an extraordinary circumstance. Team Europe’s Emily Pedersen will play against Danielle Kang. However, it is interesting to note that Danielle Kang’s caddie is Pedersen’s long-time boyfriend, Olly Brett.

Olly Brett is a caddie for Kang, and hence, there was always a possibility that he would come up against his partner, Pedersen. And that’s what has happened, as they have incredibly been drawn against each other in the Monday singles. Moreover, Pedersen had shared a post on Instagram with Olly Brett with a caption, “As if we didn’t disagree enough already…”

Meanwhile, Pedersen and Charley Hull had a fruitful partnership this week. They have earned two points, including a 3&2 victory over Kang and Ernst in Sunday four-ball. However, Lexi Thompson and Brittny Altmare secured a win against this pair in the Sunday foursomes. 

Moreover, Team Europe hasn’t won a Solheim Cup on American soil since 2013. Liselotte Neumann’s European side won the Solheim Cup at Colorado Golf Club in Colorado in 2013. And since then, no European team has ever won the Solheim Cup held in the USA
