“Won a Slam Immediately”: Naomi Osaka Credits Her Customized Tennis Racquet Towards Her Success

In recent years, the current world number three Naomi Osaka has been one of the great forces in women’s tennis. The young Japanese star has continued to impress fans as she constantly grows as a player. Although she’s just 23 years old, some of her accomplishments are commendable.

Osaka was first noticed by people on a grand stage when she was up against Serena Williams. It surely was one of the greatest moments of her career to beat the American legend in her own backyard with the crowd supporting Williams.

Recently, during a Q&A session on Instagram, Osaka was asked about her favorite tennis racquet. To that, she said, “This white one. I always wanted an elegant white racquet and Yonex was nice enough to let me design one. Plus, I won a slam immediately playing with it.”

Naomi Osaka takes a keen interest in fashion, particularly, designing her outfits for various tennis tournaments. Finally, the Japanese could fulfill the idea of designing a tennis racquet.

She utilized her concept and customized a tennis racquet as per her liking. She even won the 2020 US Open using that designed racquet, beating Victoria Azarenka in the final.

In her career so far, Osaka has won three majors, two of those titles coming at the US Open, and one at the Australian Open. In her quest for greatness, the former world no. 1 has reached new heights in the sport.

To be a three-time Grand Slam winner at the age of 23 indicates that she is going to do wonders.

With the first Major of the new year beginning in February, the 2019 Australian Open champion will be seen on the tennis courts at Melbourne Park.
