Ricky Wysocki to get initial bonus payment in Bitcoin

The company announced the news on Tuesday. They believe that Wysocki is at the top of his game right now. Hence, this will help greatly in building their brand. The deal was made for 4 years, and worth a whopping $4 million.

Wysocki himself is excited to be a part of the brand and looks forward to it.

“I think that it’s a fun, new adventure that I’m switching back to Dynamic and the trilogy family,” he said.

Apart from the $4 million, Wysocki will be getting numerous incentives and bonuses through the years. One interesting thing to note here is that Wysocki had decided to take his initial signing bonus of $250,000 in Bitcoin.

This has been lauded as a brilliant move, proving that Wysocki thinks ahead of his time. Although this is the first of its kind in disc golf, it’s not very uncommon in sports. Over the years, several pro athletes have taken their payments in Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.

Some of the big names include Top NBA player Cade Cunningham, Sean Culkin of Kansas City Chiefs, NFL’S Odell Beckham, and many others. While Wysocki has only taken the initial bonus amount, these pro athletes have their entire salaries paid in Bitcoin or Crypto.

In the case of football legend Lionel Messi, payments are in the form of ‘fan tokens’ created by the team.

Because cryptocurrency has the potential of becoming double in the future, athletes are fast-changing their preference for this mode of payment.

Wysocki excited about this new deal

Wysocki is quite excited about this deal. He believes this is the right time in his career for this deal.

“It’s been amazing working with Dynamic Discs and their vision with coming out with new products, new discs and that’s something I’ve definitely wanted to do at this stage in my career,” said Wysocki.

He has previously been involved with “Sockibomb”, which is part of DD. Even though DD might not have the best players, Wysocki believes that he would be a great fit.

“I think in that time away we both grew to where we both fit really well together right now,” said Wysocki.

Prior to this, Dynamic Discs have also signed Kona Panis for a 4-year endorsement deal with $500,000. Both Wysocki and Panis were previously working with Innova.
