Jordan Williams was all kinds of broken after his debut fight at UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Aldana. The fight was a clash of debutants which ‘Bomaye’ will want to forget as quickly as possible. The 29-year-old faced Frenchman Nassourdine Imamov in a losing effort. The verdict was a unanimous decision, but Williams would have felt hard done.

The three rounds were intense and far away from clean. Bad referring calls and a bunch of overlooked fouls marred the fight. Over the course of the 15-minutes, Williams got hit with two head butts. The first of these came in the first round and the second came in the third, both of which the referee failed to take notice of.

Not only this, but Williams was also on the receiving end of a low blow during the fight. ‘Bomaye’ stuck through all these illegal shots, each of which could have earned him an advantage or a victory, but came up just short.

A trip to the hospital after this gruesome fight showed the extent of damage Williams underwent. He suffered a broken nose and orbital bone during the fight. However, the fact that he made it to the octagon was a miracle in itself, as he already had a compromised vertebra.

Jordan Williams – “The Fight Game”

The 25-year-old fighter took to Instagram and uploaded a video detailing his injuries. In this post, he said, “Just got back from the hospital and the verdict is a broken nose, multiple fractures. I have a broken orbital bone from that illegal head butt, the second illegal head butt. This (cut on my head) is from the first illegal head butt. And, apparently, I broke my back in the last fight. I have a crack in my C-3 vertebrae.”

Jordan Williams didn’t use any of these as reasons for his loss. Instead, he reacted like a true champ and said, “That’s the fight game. And we came to fight. That’s the beauty of the fight game, baby.”
