Former UFC Heavyweight Champ Junior dos Santos Set to Make Pro-Wrestling Debut in AEW Dynamite

Junior Dos Santos is all set to make his professional wrestling debut at AEW Dynamite. The former UFC champion will join up with Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. They will fight Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, and AEW TNT Title holder Sammy Guevara of the Inner Circle on this spectacular Saturday night show.

Dos Santos is a former UFC Heavyweight champion with many knockout finishes. Now the veteran fighter will make his debut in AEW on 16th October for a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

In the six-man tag bout, Dos Santos will team up with AEW wrestlers. Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky team up with Dos Santos to take on pro wrestling legends Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, and Sammy Guevara. During the match, another MMA and UFC legend, Jorge Masvidal, will be in his corner.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Dos Santos talked about his AEW debut and said, “I love it. It’s very different than MMA but just as exciting. The reactions from the fans are amazing. I’m having a lot of fun and look forward to kicking Jericho and Hager’s a**es next week.”

Dos Santos was released from the UFC after four consecutive losses against leading contenders. The Brazilian won the UFC heavyweight championship in 2011 and 2012, defeating former champions Stipe Miocic, Cain Velasquez, and Frank Mir.

Santos is a veteran fighter and knows how to compete in tough situations and win titles. Therefore, it would be interesting to see what the former UFC champ can achieve in AEW.
