“Brute Has Passed and Will Never Be Forgotten”: Top AEW Wrestler Devastated After Massive Personal Loss

Dustin Patrick Runnels, aka Dustin Rhodes, is a current AEW wrestler and acts as a coach in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Rhodes has headlined many wrestling promotions in his career before signing with AEW. In his time as a wrestler, he has embraced many gimmicks. However, fans got to see real emotions as Rhodes lost his dog. 

“The Natural” took to his social media and informed the fans that his dog, Brute, had unfortunately passed away.

Brute was featured on Dustin Rhodes’s Instagram handle for the past few weeks. He posted a picture on 27th January 2022, intimating fans that Brute has only one month to live.

He also posted a picture yesterday stating that he and his wife, Marel Runnel, are preparing for a heartbreak. Dustin Rhodes seems to have a special place for Brute in his heart. In recent Instagram pictures with Brute, Rhodes was seen bonding and chilling with the canine as best friends.

Dustin Rhodes mentioned losing Brute was more challenging than imagined in his heartfelt post. He thanked his fans for all the love they gave to Brute.

Dustin Rhodes tweeted, “Brute has passed and will never be forgotten. A lot harder than I thought and it sucks bad. Thank you for all the love.”

As Dustin Rhodes wants to retire in the next few years, the AEW Star opened up a wrestling school in early 2021 and named it Rhodes Wrestling School. He is passionate about training young talents and wants to see them succeed in wrestling.
