After having a thrilling event in Abu Dhabi, the women’s tennis players are ready to take center stage at the Dubai duty-free tennis championship. A lot of popular faces from the WTA, starting from world number one Iga Swiatek to the young sensation Coco Gauff, will be a part of the event.

While Aryna Sabalenka will be seen for the first time on the tennis court after her Australian Open victory, thought of potential quarter-final pairs that might make the tournament more exciting and fun. The 25-year-old tennis player is also set to show off her tennis skills after the Australian Open, and while she is a part of the main draw, she might potentially go against the Russian tennis player. However, this is the first time both of them will see each other on the court. Previously, both of them have met each other three times. The 12th-seeded tennis player has been dominating the chart with two victories under her name.

Even after having victories against Sabalenka, the Grand Slam Champion’s current form is just amazing and unbeatable, which makes her stand out from the crowd herself. The world number 2 has faced a lot of tough tennis opponents in the past, making her tennis skills obvious on the court. On the other hand, her Australian Open final opponent, Zheng, might face the world’s number-one-ranked tennis player.

Iga Swiatek vs. Qinwen Zheng

The Polish tennis player is on the rise, and nobody can stop her from achieving a dream. Although she currently stands at the number one position, she could face the 21-year-old Chinese tennis player in the quarter-final clash of the Dubai tournament. Earlier, they had played five times against each other when Swiatek maintained her clear dominance against her rival.

But after reaching the Australian Open final for the first time, the 7th-ranked tennis player may change the flow of their face-off. Or it will be the four-time Grand Slam champion who keeps her destructive rhythm going against Zheng. Another potential quarter-final battle that might excite tennis fans can be between the third-ranked tennis players, Coco Gauff and Ons Jabeur.

Just like Swiatek and Zheng, the 19-year-old has also played similar matches against the Wimbledon finalist. However, during the last meet at the WTA Finals, it was the 29-year-old who claimed the victory, Gauff went head-to-head, keeping the other four victories.

While this year was quite great for the American tennis sensation as she made it to the Australian Open semi-finals, Jabeur has been struggling with injuries for the past few months. Apparently, both of them were also a part of the Qatar Open but made an early exit from the tournament after taking defeat on the court.

In the end, the last potential quarter-final match can be witnessed between Elena Rybakina and Leylah Fernandez.
