Tennis, despite being an individual sport, often fosters good relationships between players off the court. Having built a unique friendship with his compatriot Ana Ivanovic during her active years, Novak Djokovic is at it again. This time, it is with the 2023 Australian Open champion. For the Cincinnati Masters, Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic were chosen to promote the championship. As they goofed around, Sabalenka found a moment where she took a cheeky dig at him. 

While Sabalenka threw a snide remark at the Serbian star, she also depreciated herself with a joke. On a picture of the two prior to Wimbledon, Sabalenka joked about the combined grand slams of the two stars. But now, she has it out for the Djoker as they joined hands for a promotional event in Cincinnati. 

Novak Djokovic roasted by Aryna Sabalenka for lack of a particular skill

After 23 grand slams, one would expect that Novak Djokovic could accomplish anything. With athletic abilities that few can match combined with a great sense of humor, Djokovic seemingly has everything a person would want. But, he lacks one crucial ability, as Aryna Sabalenka recently discovered. In Cincinnati, for the Western & Southern Open, the Djoker and Sabalenka took part in a promotional event.

The Belarusian star challenged the Serbian to a catching contest which did not show Djokovic in a good light. As he failed to catch the ball, Sabalenka found the perfect opportunity to roast her compatriot. She shared a picture which highlighted his failure to catch the ball on her Instagram story with the caption, “23 slams and still can’t catch a ball 😂😂😂. Sorry not sorry @djokernole“.

Sabalenka found a way to give a cheeky remark and didn’t hesitat. But the Australian Open champion’s sense of humour doesn’t spare anyone, even herself. Prior to the Wimbledon Championships, she also joked about herself in an old picture with Novak Djokovic.

Sabalenka depreciates herself in comparison to the Djoker

Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic decided to hit the courts together before Wimbledon commenced. Both of them clicked a picture together, which Sabalenka later posted on her Instagram account. But it wasn’t the picture that caught everyone’s eye. Underneath the picture, she wrote, “24 Grand Slams in one pic. Guess how many of them are mine?” joking about her one grand slam in comparison to Djokovic’s 23.
