Tennis stars Jessica Pegula and Taylor Townsend recently were spotted in a charity event. It was hosted by none other than former world’s number-one doubles tennis star, Mark Knowles. Now Knowles is known to host the Baha Mar Cup to encourage and support enthusiastic but underprivileged kids. This month was Baha Mar Cup’s fourth staging and the event raised $120,000 for their objective. Special thanks to Pegula and Townsend along with many famous tennis stars who graced their presence to make this event successful.Baha Mar Cup has successfully helped many underprivileged tennis kids, who later started representing the Bahamas in international tennis. Not to mention, this initiative creates great prospects for the county as well. Now that stars like Pegula were present at the event, the Baha Mar Cup’s fourth staging was an event to remember.

Mark Knowles shared his heartfelt thanks for Pegula, Townsend, and others for joining his charity event

The player representative of the ATP Board of Directors, Knowles expressed his deepest thanks to his former colleagues. It was for making his Baha Mar Cup’s fourth staging successful. He said- “I continue to be so grateful to my former colleagues for taking time out of their busy schedules to come to the Bahamas and support my charity event, the Baha Mar Cup!” 

He further added to his comments and said- “It allows us to continue to provide to those that are less fortunate with a specific focus on growing the sport of tennis in the Bahamas. Over the years, we have been able to support many young Bahamians through their junior years leading to many opportunities to study and compete at prestigious universities.”

Exploring the gracious event of Baha Mar Cup 2023

Baha Mar Cup’s annual tournament stepped onto its fourth year in 2023. It was hosted by Mark Knowles. The event took place from the 8th of December to December 10th. Apart from the mentioned two American stars, there were Victoria Azarenka,  Austin Krajicek and Milos Raonic, and James Blake. Not to forget, Marcus Samuelson was also among the distinguished guests of the event.

Mark Knowles’s Baha Mar Cup’s fourth staging was a successful one. From Jessica Pegula to Taylor Townsend, everyone helped with their presence to encourage this great event. Following its success, more kids from the Bahamas will grace the world tennis stage with their brilliant skills.
