But now there is no place for negativity; she actually received a cheer-up message from one of her close friends. Recently, as Queen V is ready to step onto the tennis arena, her friend Prakash Amritraj hyped her up amid all the negativity she has received over her longevity on the court.

Prakash Amritraj hypes up close friend Venus Williams 

The 43-year-old Grand Slam champion has been awarded a card to play in the Indian Wells tournament, which will take place in the month of March. While this news has received mixed reactions from the tennis arena, a close friend who has played tennis with Venus Williams, Amritraj, recently, talked about having Venus Williams back on the tennis court.

On a podcast appearance, Amritraj shared his excitement of seeing the older Williams sister play tennis once again, hyping her up to go and win the battle on the court. He said, “She is always smiling out there, can’t wait to see her play some beautiful tennis. Any excuse to see Queen V out there! And let me go get him queen, get him!” 

He also talked about the seven-time Grand Slam champion’s aura that she brings whenever she steps on the tennis court. But at the same time, there is a question: are there reasons not to see Venus playing tennis once again?

Recently, the official Twitter handle of the tournament happily shared the news that the 43-year-old American legend received a wild card for the tournament. While a lot of tennis fans shared their happy comments to see her back, some of them were not happy with the same.

A fan commented on the post, and said, “Keep wasting slots, what exactly is she coming to do.”

Another fan highlighted how, just like any other wild card entry, she’s going to face “another embarrassing first-round exit.”
