Katie Boulter has had an amazing season this year. After being away from the sport for a while, she lost her confidence and spirit in the game. Her injury did not allow her to come back. But now that she is back, she has not only gone above and beyond people’s expectations of her but also become the No.1 tennis star in Britain.
After all the victories, she is now headed to the Billie Jean King Cup playoff, scheduled to take place from next month onwards. However, being away from her sport and coming back to the top after 4 years has not been easy. She recently shared how her boyfriend Alex de Minaur was a pillar of support for her during that time.

Being away from the one thing you love is not easy. Especially when there are so many other players ready to take your place. It took a lot of time for Boulter to feel her best and be back. But during her tough time, her boyfriend was there to support her. Her boyfriend Alex de Minaur, who himself is a tennis player, truly understands how it feels to stay off the grid and was there at every step to make her feel better.

While talking about her time away from the sport to the Telegraph, she said, “Huge credit goes to my team, my boyfriend [world No 13 Alex de Minaur], his team, my family. They’re the people that kind of kept me sane and kept reminding me that I was going to get my chance. I continued to plug through and I went through the tough times.”

She shared how her team and even her boyfriend’s team helped her through this time. Further, Boulter also mentions the support of her family, which is truly heart-touching and now she is all set for the United Cup.

Boulter to be a part of the United Cup 2024
Boulter will be a part of the Great Britain team for the 2024 United Cup. She will have Cameron Norrie and Dan Evans on her team as well. Great Britain will enter the competition in the month of December. The tournament is supposed to end on the 7 of January.
This will be an 18-nation mixed event where players from various countries will be a part of the tournament. It is going to be amazing to see players compete not for themselves but for their countries. We are sure the spirits will be high. What do you think?
