The Australian tennis star, Nick Kyrgios, is not currently competing on the ATP Tour. His fans are without a doubt missing him and the spectacular shots he pulls off on the court. Well, it’s hard not to think about the 27-year-old tennis player who is well known for shocking his opponent with his unique underarm serves and tweener shots. However, while he might be the finest trick-shot player among the current generation, no one will deny that Roger Federer is the ultimate tweener maestro.

As he has mastered the trick-shot made famous by the Swiss Maestro, he recently received a request from a renowned Canadian WTA star to assist her with the same stroke. After failing to perform a successful tweener shot, Bianca Andreescu sought the guidance of Nick Kyrgios.

The 22-year-old tennis player recently asked the Aussie sensation for advice on mastering the crowd pleasing tweener shot. While doing the same, she shared a video of her failed attempts at acing the tweener. Along with posting the video of her failed attempt on Instagram, she captioned it, “Send help“. And tagged Kyrgios for his advice to help her play the perfect shot.

Seeing that request on Twitter, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist, who is currently not in action due to an injury, addressed the Canadian star’s plea and gave some valuable advice. He wrote, “You have to let the ball drop a little more.”

 

Although Kyrgios has become a master of this particular trick-shot, questions were raised when he first played it on the ocurt. A few years ago, the bad boy of tennis was asked about copying and studying the trick shot of the 20-time Grand Slam champion.

Kyrgios on mimicking Federer’s trick shot

Back in 2020, Tennis TV, showcased some of the trick shots that were played both by the Swiss Maestro and the 2022 Wimbledon finalist. Both tennis players were adept at certain shots, such as the SABR and the tweener. The 27-year-old tennis star responded to the article with his opinion on how to imitate Federer’s stroke.
