The tennis couple Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils started off great with the Australian Open 2024. However, Gael Monfils could only make it to the second round of the tournament whereas his wife Elina Svitolina is doing well as she just reached the fourth round of the tournament. Given that the couple also has a daughter named Skai, she is also accompanying them on their tour.

Just recently in an interview, Svitolina revealed Monfils’ challenging task, as he has to take care of their daughter as of now. Additionally, she very cheekily implied that it was her husband’s turn.

The tennis star Elina Svitolina reached the fourth round of the tournament after defeating Victokija Golubic. After her win, she was part of a post-match conference where she was asked about the person who is taking care of their daughter Skai, especially when it comes to changing diapers.

To which she responded candidly, “Well I’m still in the tournament so it’s his turn to take care of her”, implying that out of the two of them, Monfils is the one who is not on tour anymore, so obviously it is his turn to take care of their daughter.

Svitolina is still on tour and cannot serve her motherly duties with full focus at the moment. After her interview was posted on Twitter, tennis fans could not stop reacting to it.

Tennis fans react to the cheeky response of Svitolina about Gael Monfils and their daughter Skai

Fans were really amused by Svitolina’s response. One of the fans posted, “I do believe in her words…lol!”. They found it very funny the way she portrayed how she was on tour and Monfils was not.

Another comment was a couple of laughing emojis that certainly showed that fans could not resist having fun with the way she responded.

A fan also wrote, “Goals”, pointing to the fact that how the couple, even with their tour, manages the duties of being parents.

One of the fans added, “Ouch” with a laughing emoji showing that it was a dig at Gael Monfils.

A fan also posted a supportive comment to appreciate Svitolina. They wrote, “She looks so dominant since her return to tennis and honestly looks better since being a mum. Hope she makes the semis at least.”

As Elina Svitolina responded to the interviewer’s question cheekily, fans couldn’t stop themselves from reacting to it. Svitolina will be facing Linda Noskova in her 4th round match at the AO tomorrow. Will she be able to continue her dominance?
