Roger Federer and his partner, Mirka have now stormed the Oscars as a power duo that went beyond tennis and romance. Their path from steadfast support to enduring commitment has enthralled followers worldwide. The dynamic pair recently stole the show at the renowned Oscars, grabbing attention with their full glam presence.

With their appearance beside Mirka, the 42-year-old Swiss tennis great created curiosity by raising the possibility of a Barbie movie considering their looks, amidst the flash and splendor. As fans poured love for the duo, it was Coco Gauff‘s four-word remark that struck a chord—a sentiment that was echoed by Federer’s final Barbie declaration.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion was currently in California for the announcement of the 2025 Laver Cup venue, which will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco. However, he extended his stay just to attend the Oscars with his wife. Recently, Federer took to his Instagram account to share a glimpse of their appearance.

He shared a picture of himself from the red carpet, shared a lovely picture with his wife, and wrote, “I’m just Ken.”  While jokingly calling himself Ken from the movie Barbie in the caption, complementing his wife’s outfit to the fullest. Looking into that, in no time while fans were head over heels for the picture, the 19-year-old WTA star commented on the post, while delivering every fan’s emotions, “Barbie and Ken irl !!” The former world champion sported a sleek white suit, black pants, and the ideal combination of black shoes and sunglasses.

Furthermore, Mirka emulated her husband’s style by elegantly combining black and white elements. She wore a black dress with white sleeves and finished her appearance with silver accessories. Further, it was not only Gauff who agreed with the Barbie reference; tennis fans also shared their loving comments over the same.

While a lot of tennis fans agreed with the 19-year-old tennis players’ take on how they are like a little Barbie couple in real life, another fan also highlighted how he doesn’t need any Barbie references when he has real-life inspiration.

On the other hand, a fan highlighted how Federer is a ‘Tennis Ken‘ who never disappoints anyone on and off the tennis court. Not only that, a fan also highlighted that the 20-time Grand Slam champion left out an opportunity to state that he’s “just Fed.” Following that, another fan gave him a new name and wrote, “KENtastic Roger.” Lastly, how can tennis fans forget to mention the actual tag? Knowing his aura on the tennis court, a lot of fans dropped the comment with the GOAT emoji, pointing out the greatest in the picture.

The reason behind Federer’s Oscar presents

This was the second time he attended the prestigious award ceremony. During a conversation with the media, when asked about the reason behind attending the event, he mentioned that he received an invitation for the event. He stated, “I was invited, and usually I had many things to do around that date, so I told myself, why not spend the night at the Oscars with my wife and see the stars?” 

Not only that, even after having a busy schedule, he used this opportunity to attend the event with his wife. But at the same time, he also shared a wish while making a joke about wanting to see the stars.
