During the post-match press conference after the second-round victory, she highlighted how the 25-year-old American can work on his return and, at the same time, praised him for the same.

She said, “I realize when you’re serving, someone is serving hard, you can just use their pace against them. I think that’s the model. Sometimes, it’s not always easy, but that’s something I feel like is what I work on and practice on a lot. But Frances should practice his returns (smiling). He’s a pretty good returner, but, you know, you can always get better (smiling).”
