The American tennis legend Serena Williams’ fashion statement is always on point, just like her achievements on the tennis court. And no doubt she certainly made a stylish statement in a Gucci outfit when she walked the Met Gala red carpet a few days ago and announced her pregnancy. The former tennis player later explained the inspiration behind the exquisite black outfit in which she dazzled.

Earlier this month, the American tennis legend attended the multi-million dollar glamorous event that was co-chaired by another tennis star, Roger Federer, along with well-known personalities including Dua Lipa and Penelope Cruz.

Serena Williams reveals the bold take behind her Met Gala outfit 

The 23-time Grand Slam champion, after making the surprising pregnancy announcement at the Met Gala, released her first YouTube video on her channel. In that video, she shared how the doting parents broke the pregnancy news to their five-year-old daughter.

Along with that, the 41-year-old former tennis player also talked about her Met Gala outfit. She shared how Gucci made her a beautiful outfit that made her stand out from the crowd. While detailing her outfit, she talked about various parts of her outfit that combined together to make the amazing red carpet look.

She said, “So the theme of The Met is, Karl Lagerfeld, and so they have this amazing design. A sketch that’s like black and white, with its tool, its boots, its pearls, and its rhinestones. It’s actually too many things, and none of them makes sense. None of them go together, but it works in the best way possible.”

Further, the former world number one also talked about how her outfit is all about diamond pearls and a way to stand out with her own style and her own look. Not only did Williams make a style statement on the red carpet, but the Reddit co-founder also stood out with his precious papa accessory, as the couple beamed with pride as they made the surprise announcement.

Williams’ husband wore a special papa accessory

While the tennis legend wore a lovely black dress, her husband, the 40-year-old American entrepreneur, accompanied her in a black tux and a beautiful Papa bracelet. The co-founder of Reddit uploaded photos of his dressed-up attire for the occasion to his Instagram fans.
