People spent a lot of money on a trade card or a rookie card of the 23-time Grand Slam champion or the Swiss maestro. Their cards also garnered a lot of attention recently after selling for an unbelievable sum of 447k.

The 2003 Netpro International card of the legendary American tennis player sold for almost $266,400. The 2003 Roger Federer Netpro Elite card sold for roughly $181,200, despite the fact that the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s trade card is less expensive than the Williams card. They are the only tennis players with such pricey trade cards that have been sold off in such expensive quantities.

They are not the only tennis players that have their own sports cards; Naomi Osaka, Venus Williams, and Novak Djokovic do as well. Additionally, Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, shared his astounded response to how much the tennis trade cards sold for on Twitter. He shared a post by the Collective Guru and drew attention by using the eye emoji.

But that’s not all. The 2003 Rookie card of the American tennis legend sold for a whopping sum of around $163,000 last year.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion’s trading card is a huge hit with tennis aficionados. And in February of last year, a buyer shelled out over $163,000 to obtain a Williams 2003 rookie card. The card was a PSA7 and an actual Williams match-worn clothes card, according to the Tennis Card City Twitter account for tennis trading cards.

Nonetheless, another significant aspect of the card was that it was autographed by the tennis star herself. Additionally, Serena’s 1999 Sports Illustrated rookie card was sold for almost $117,000 in January 2022. Well, Williams trade cards are indeed uncommon and fetch a premium price.
