Coco Gauff is “very gifted in that sense” as coach Tursunov has said it

The 20-year-old American youngster has shown that she can remain calm under challenging situations. Win or lose, finals or not, Gauff has managed to maintain a level head in most of her clashes. Her focus has impressed many in the tennis world, and Tursunov has gone on to call her similar to Jannik Sinner when it comes to thinking maturely.

I find that she’s very similar to Jannik Sinner and in the fact that she’s very mature for her age, she’s um, she’s not emotional, she’s um, I think these are all very good ingredients, I mean, and she’s athletic very athletic she’s very gifted in that sense.” The fewer incidents of her outbursts, along with her composure during losses, is likely what evoked the thought in the former Russian player.

Veronika Kudermetova’s coach also touched upon Gauff’s weaknesses. While he did mention them to be concerning, he firmly believes that she has the power to overcome them.

Gauff has the power to overcome her faults

Tursunov talked about the issues Gauff has with her service, as she is prone to double faults. He also mentioned the factual matter of her weak forehand. While these issues are there, he believes she has the power to overcome them. “I think the work ethic is there. I think the, um, the levelheaded headedness is there, so I don’t see anything that can push her out of the top 10 unless she just, you know, loses her mind and, you know or just starts spending too much time doing other things.”

Gauff has shown a great work ethic when it comes to tennis. While she is involved with other ventures, Gauff’s main focus is on her tennis career. The American youngster will look to resolve her problems and become a player the future will remember.
